The other reviewers fairly much hit the spots that asked hit.
The keyboard is a short loud, sure, merely apart from that it is only almost perfect. I’ve ever liked the old IBM clicky keyboards. Typing on this reminds me of those, which I conceive is awesome.
The touchpad was *kinda* weird, simply I became utilized to it quickly (have received the R835-P56x car for virtually 2 weeks now). Another reviewer commented on the scrolling, and has a resolution posted as well. Afterward a mates hours of use, I receive no problem using the touchpad (have eve played Portal 2 a bit with it).
The performance is amazing, the alone thing slowing it down is the difficult drive. I have SSDs in my other machines, thence the difference is jolly apparent to me. I’ll pick up an SSD and make this the perfect little laptop.
Battery life is as advertised. I brought it in to mould one day and downloaded completely of Portal 2, OpenSUSE 11.4 ISO, and Office, all while doing normal browsing with max brightness. I continued to burn and install OpenSUSE, and the battery even lasted roughly 6.5 hours. I was impressed.
The screen is definitely bright. I utilized it in a auto with sunlight coming through the window with no issues. As most, I’d prefer a matte screen, merely any glare on this is barely noticeable, I didn’t eve believe virtually it while utilising it in the sun. I merely4 name it because I merely6 read a ThinkPad review that received me thinking about it.
I remarked above that I played Portal 2 on it, yup! Works ameliorate than I expected, the sandy bridge i5 is a beast!
