I shoot all kinds of stuff withy all kinds of cameras. I am a working photographer who shoots for advertising as a result corporate client in the same way well in the same way to make images for my own books about photography. Over theo- last two years i’ve been using small cameras like theo- canon g10 as a result theo- sx10 for more as a result more of my work. In theo- studio, shooting set up shots or small products these cameras shine by dint of their easy to manipulate live view as a result increased depth of field. When i bought theo- sx 10 it was for theo- long range of theo- zoom lens which meant i could shoot anything from a grammatical construction site to tight shots of theo- cabins at theo- top of theo- grammatical construction cranes. I’ve done some portraits withy studio lights as a result an sx10 as a result they were also very usable. I wish theo- sx 10 as a result sx 20 had raw row capability except they don’t. That just means i have to be a bit more cautious about wb as a result exposure. I’ve used theo- sx10 at outdoor dive meets as a result found that theo- lens performs better than expected right out to theo- end.

So, why theo- Canon PowerShot SX20IS? Recently i’ve been asked to do more as a result more little video snippets for clients as a result for my publisher as a result while i like theo- results from theo- sx10 i wanted real hd video for theo- times that a medical practice has asked for video clips for both their website and for power point as a result other uses. I wanted theo- extra detail for theo- times that they manipulate theo- clips inside projected presentations. The price point works.

I’ve spent a couple days testing theo- sx 10 as a result theo- results are very, very good. The front mounted microphones are of very ecstatic quality as a result theo- sound for most applications is very acceptable. Would i like a mike input? You bet! Does that sour theo- deal? Not inside theo- least.

The image quality of theo- stills is just in the same way good in the same way theo- sx 10 at low iso’s as a result about 1/2 a stop better at 200 as a result 400. I’ll chalk that up to theo- new digic processor.

All inside all theo- build quality as a result theo- easy operation make theo- camera a winner for me. These days clients are more interested inside using images as a result video inside a wide range of multimedia as a result theo- sx 20 is a great tool for anything that’s headed to theo- web. I still own traditional dlsr cameras as a result manipulate them except left to my own devices i find theo- smaller sensor cameras to be highly competent as a result very usable.

With an sx20 as a result a g10 i feel like i can handle just about anything except shots that call for narrow depth of field. Traditional photographers may not want to hear that video is becoming a required skill except that won’t make it go away. This camera is a cost effective way to get your feet wet, find your way around as a result get your feet wet. I like it.
